Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Content Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social-media management, content creation, and digital marketing. The Content Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing our social-media presence, creating engaging content for email newsletters, ensuring our digital platforms are up-to-date and relevant, and the Content Coordinator will provide additional support to all company products, projects, and objectives. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

About the Company:

Lake Mary Life Publishing has been in business for 21 years and publishes four magazines – Lake Mary Life, Longwood Life, Oviedo-Winter Springs Life, and J Life. Recently, we launched Lifeline Media, a marketing agency which serves local businesses and nonprofits that need marketing support including emails, social media, graphic design, video, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social-Media Management:

    • Develop and maintain a social-media schedule for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.

    • Write and post content based on published magazine material and upcoming events.

    • Track and manage commitments to clients through social media channels.

    • Drive social-media engagement by responding to comments, inviting followers, and managing leads.

  2. Email Newsletter Creation:

    • Assist with the creation of several weekly/monthly e-newsletters using Constant Contact/MailChimp.

    • Collaborate on content development and layout for magazines and media clients.

  3. Video Editing/Reel Creation:

    • Capture and edit video content to create engaging Reels.

    • Manage the visual and narrative quality of video content.

  4. Event Coverage:

    • Attend and cover events to capture photography/videography and create brief write-ups/captions.

    • Maintain an event schedule and coordinate coverage for events not personally attended.

  5. Congratulations Write-Ups:

    • Write and compile brief Congratulations items for any/all publications.

    • Collect and integrate relevant photos to accompany write-ups.

  6. Website Updating:

    • Make updates to our websites using Squarespace.

    • Previous knowledge of Squarespace is advantageous but not required.

  7. Appointment/Photoshoot Scheduling:

    • Schedule and confirm photoshoots for clients.

    • Ensure all appointments are confirmed and coordinated effectively.

  8. Client Digital/Social Commitments:

    • Manage and fulfill digital and social commitments to clients.

    • Reach out to clients for materials, schedule necessary photo/video shoots, and create content.

  9. Magazine Deliveries:

    • Assist with magazine deliveries around town as needed (approximately six times per year).

  10. General Support:

    • The Content Coordinator will be a vital part of a small, fast-moving team. The above duties will often be supplemented with a variety of other tasks – some big, some small – to support Lake Mary Life Publishing in all facets of its business. These additional duties could include everything from client meetings to proofreading to errands to pickup/deliveries, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in social-media management, content creation, and digital marketing.

  • Proficiency in Constant Contact/MailChimp and basic video-editing software.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Squarespace or willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in capturing and editing high-quality photos and videos.
