Julie Weber Scholarship Winners Are a Living Legacy

Congratulations to three recent Lake Mary High School graduates – who were all part of this year’s back-to-back State Champion girls’ soccer team – for winning $1,000 scholarships named in honor of Julie Weber, an LMHS soccer player who lost her life to a rare form of cancer before she turned 30.
The three Julie Weber Scholarship winners are: pursue a degree in business finance while she plays soccer for the Hatters. Ava was also named Lake Mary High’s Female Athlete of the Year. pursue a career as a physician or surgeon. to become a chemical engineer.
- Ava McKay, who will attend Stetson University this fall to pursue a degree in business finance while she plays soccer for the Hatters. Ava was also named Lake Mary High’s Female Athlete of the Year.
- Sierra Stallings, who will attend Florida State University to pursue a career as a physician or surgeon.
- Lara Greenstein, who will attend the University of Florida to become a chemical engineer.
To date, 44 Julie Weber Scholarships of $1,000 each have been awarded to ensure Julie’s legacy of courage on and off the field will never be forgotten.
