Fox Estate Buyers

by Kevin Fritz

If you are thinking about selling some of your fine jewelry but don’t know where to turn, local residents put their trust in Fox Estate Buyers of Winter Springs.

The family-owned business specializes in buying fine estate and modern jewelry as well as true antiquity, gemstones, and watches.

Through the company’s knowledge     and expertise gained over three generations, meticulous steps are taken when evaluating and pricing jewelry. Owner Adam Fox, a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, adds that market connections made worldwide assure sellers a fair and honest value for their pieces.

In today’s interconnected world, Adam can reach dealers in South America, Europe, and throughout the United States from the comfort of his office. In the past, brokers, buyers, and sellers gathered at trade shows to do their business, but much of that has changed, especially post-COVID. There is, however, one critically important show that’s still in operation – the Original Miami Beach Antique Show – which Adam attended in January.

For those wishing to sell their jewelry, gemstones, and watches, Adam says people can text him at 407-205-8960 or fill out a simple online form at FoxEstateBuyers.com with as much information as possible to begin the appraisal process. Fox Estate Buyers will then contact the seller to schedule a preliminary, no-obligation consultation to determine whether the transaction is viable and to be sure the deal is in the best interests of both parties. That can be done by phone or in the Fox Estate Buyers office in Winter Springs for an in-person evaluation. Either way, Adam offers complete transparent pricing and professional discretion at every step.

“Our office offers complete privacy and comfort,” he explains, noting that Fox Estate Buyers understands it is not always an easy decision to sell personal valuables and family heirlooms. He adds that he can conduct house calls, as well, if a visit is not possible. Ninety percent of the jewelry the company buys is of limited production. Many pieces are antiques and some date back to the 1700s.

After the pieces are assessed based on a number of factors, including current market value, Fox Estate Buyers will make an offer. If accepted, payment is immediate whether by check, eCheck, or wire transfer.

Three Generations

Originally founded in New York City by Adam’s paternal grandfather, the company was eventually run by Adam’s father Steven and his uncle Robert Goodman who moved the operation to Miami. Adam grew up in the jewelry business.

“My uncle would have me sell costume jewelry to learn the trade,” he recalls.

When Adam turned 19, he took over the business and has led Fox Estate Buyers for the past 22 years. In the last six years, he has made some major changes that helped propel the company to new levels of success.

“In 2017, I changed the name of the company from The Collection, Inc., to Fox Estate Buyers,” explains Adam. “And in January 2022, I moved our family from Coral Gables to Winter Springs.”

Adam and his wife, Flora, who he says is instrumental in running the business, are raising three children, all of whom attend local schools. While Adam’s father and uncle have since passed, his mom Ruth lives with Adam and his family in their Winter Springs home.
