It is organized by HOPE Helps of Oviedo in partnership with its Interfaith Coalition, local businesses, partner agencies, and community donors. Dozens of floats will be decorated and lit up for the holidays. Look for Santa on a shiny red fire truck.

The 5K will feature high energy, live music for runners and walkers along a 3.1-mile flat route that starts and finishes at Casselberry’s Lake Concord Park, next to City Hall. All participants will receive a rockin' commemorative T-shirt and will have the opportunity to enjoy the post-race “Craft Beer Fest” where runners 21 and older can sample beer. Runners will also have the chance to vote in the “Battle of the Bands” competition for the best band along the race route. Event proceeds benefit cultural arts organizations in Casselberry.

The Sweetwater Oaks Garden Club Spring Plant Sale is Saturday & Sunday, April 15th & 16th from 9am to 4pm at 210 Lonesome Pine Drive, Longwood.
The Sweetwater Oaks Garden Club members grow their own plants, many from seeds and cuttings in their own beautiful gardens. The club has been a member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs (FFGC) for over 48 years, and was started by the earliest residents of the Sweetwater Oaks community! The plant sale is a bi-annual fundraising event enabling our contributions to scholarships for students pursuing horticulture degrees at University of Florida, campers attending Wekiva Youth Camp, and donations to Florida-based environmental conservation organizations.
