Primary election season has officially begun in Seminole County, and voters are making plans to cast their ballot in the Florida Primary Election on August 18.

At the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office, our focus remains on ensuring every eligible voter has access to elections that are easy, safe, secure, and transparent. As election activity increases across our community, now is the time for voters to stay informed, know their options, and participate in the democratic process.

Several key election deadlines are rapidly approaching.

July 20 is the deadline to register to vote or update your party affiliation for the August Primary Election. Voters who have recently moved or changed their name are encouraged to take action as soon as possible to avoid delays or issues at the polls.

For voters planning to cast a ballot by mail, August 6 is the deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot. We encourage voters not to wait until the last minute and to return completed ballots as early as possible.

Seminole County voters have three convenient ways to cast their ballot this election season:

  • Vote-by-mail remains a trusted and secure option for those who prefer to vote from home. Our office follows strict security procedures and chain-of-custody protocols to protect every ballot throughout the election process. Completed ballots may be returned by mail or to one of our secure ballot intake locations.
  • Early voting begins August 8 and runs through August 15 at designated locations throughout Seminole County. Early voting continues to be a popular option for voters looking for flexibility and shorter wait times before Election Day.
  • Voters may also cast their ballot in person on Election Day – August 18 – at their assigned precinct. Across Seminole County, our dedicated election workers are trained and prepared to ensure polling locations operate efficiently, securely, and transparently for every voter.

Election integrity remains a top priority for the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office. Our team conducts routine testing of voting equipment, maintains strict security measures, and follows detailed procedures designed to protect the accuracy and reliability of every election.

From ballot security to bipartisan oversight and transparent processes, our office works year-round to maintain voter confidence and public trust.

Every election matters, and every vote matters. Local elections have a direct impact on our schools, communities, and future, making voter participation more important than ever.

We encourage every eligible voter to make a plan, know their voting options, and stay informed throughout the election season. If you have questions about voter registration, polling locations, vote-by-mail ballots, or election information, our office is here to help.
