Christian Brothers Automotive

by Susan Shalhoub

What’s the next logical move for a man with retail management and marketing experience plus a love for entrepreneurship and cars? To start an Oviedo automotive repair business, of course, with a core goal of exceptional customer service – in a community he hand-picked as home.

Christian Brothers Automotive, owned by George and Carol Beck – recent transplants from Texas – aims to stand out from the crowd of auto shops by making customers feel comfortable. Carol and George call it The Nice Difference

Transparency is key. Technicians use innovative cameras to go inside a car and show the vehicle owner exactly what needs to be repaired and why. Free courtesy inspections, upfront estimates, and shuttle service are essential components of The Nice Difference at Christian Brothers, as well. Bilingual technicians and front counter team members help ensure all customers feel comfortable and get satisfactory communication regarding their car or truck.

“We service all makes and models – a lot of shops can’t do that,” says George, “Whether it’s wiper-blade replacements or a full engine replacement, little stuff and big stuff, you can get everything done here.”

The shop’s three-year, 36,000-mile warranty on parts and labor, whichever comes last, is another plus.

George invites the community to visit the 6,000-square-foot Christian Brothers shop on Mitchell Hammock Road to see the difference firsthand.

“You will immediately feel at ease,” he says.
