The award-winning MW Salon, established and guided by Mitch and Eneth Eubanks for more than two decades, continues to be Oviedo’s hair destination. Founded in 2000 as The Mitchell Wade Salon, MW Salon’s journey has been one of transformation and an unwavering commitment to excellence. MW Salon’s incredible clients have shared their experiences through more than 300 Google reviews with a 4.8 star rating, and their words resonate with the passion of the MW team.

A Fresh Chapter Unveiled

The transformation to MW Salon has been 23 years in the making and reflects the evolution of a growing community and an unwavering commitment to serving clients with the highest standards of care and expertise. MW Salon has not only endured but thrived thanks to the unwavering support of the community. Over the years, the salon’s team has overcome challenges, including an economic recession and the Covid-19 pandemic, and continues to do what they love 23 years later.

“All the hardships we’ve faced and overcome have led to this point,” says Mitch. “Our new name and new location helps MW Salon maintain our constant goal to better serve our community.” 

Now located at the corner of Alafaya Trail and Mitchell Hammock Road, right next to Chick-fil-A and off of Oviedo on the Park, MW Salon’s rebranding and new location perfectly mirrors its suburban-chic vibe, better aligning with the evolving Oviedo community. High-end services continue to be at the foundation of the salon’s identity ensuring an elevated experience for its clients.

“For 20 years I’ve worked at the MW Salon, and it’s not by accident,” says Delores Sidler, senior stylist. “It’s one of the few salons that still has a family feel and where the focus is on making better stylists one day at a time. The faces and locations have changed over the years but, the consistency of our mission has always been there, and that is why I have called it home for so long. While it always takes some getting used to a new place, this new location still feels like home because of the people I work with every day.” 

Education is Key

Education is the first of five important core values in which Mitch, MW Salon’s founder and owner, believes: Education, Professionalism, Creativity, Consistency, and Teamwork.

Education is built into each client’s appointment so they understand what the stylist is doing and how to accomplish a look at home and keep their hair healthy. This provides clients with a feeling of empowerment and puts them back in control of their look. Education is also a crucial element within the team. Recently, Mitch has taken time away as a stylist and has stepped into more of a mentorship role, personally coaching his stylists. Industry educators visit MW Salon from throughout the United States to teach the newest trends, techniques, and product knowledge. This provides the salon’s clients with the best service possible and gives MW Salon’s stylists more confidence in their craft. 

“What I love about our concept is we truly work as a team, and I think our clients feel that,” says Alena Eubanks, marketing director. “It allows everyone to explore different stylists to discover their perfect match. And even if your regular stylist is away or you need a last-minute appointment, your notes and formula are available for any of our stylists to step in. We work around your schedule, budget, and goals – not the other way around. It’s like having a supportive hair squad that’s always there for you!” 

Inclusive Space with Exclusive Products

MW Salon is a salon that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Services are tailored based on hair length rather than gender, and the pricing and timing of services reflect this inclusive approach. From blonding to Balayage, vivids to single-process color, MW Salon offers a diverse range of services and a team of stylists who offer multiple levels of experience and different niches and specialities – such as specializing in curly hair or men’s hair. Perms (yes, MW Salon has stylists that know how!), Keratin treatments, styling, and specialty services like hair extensions and eyelash treatments are also available.

MW Salon is proud to offer a range of exclusive product lines to meet every client’s needs. As a Wella Color designated salon, it also carries the Joico Vivids Color line and Men’s Crew color to fit every desired look. The extensive array of available hair styling products includes Bumble and bumble, Moroccanoil, Color WOW Hair, Malibu, Nioxin, Keratin Complex, Wella Professional, and familiar lines such as Olaplex and Professional Sebastian.

Adapting to Serve You Better

One of the most exciting additions to MW Salon is the private room (by appointment only) equipped with a shampoo bowl to better serve clients who do not openly show their hair for religious and cultural reasons or wish for a more discreet experience. This space has been designed to ensure that every client feels comfortable and special. You will also find different price levels to fit everyone’s budget and MW Salon is open until 9:00 p.m. some nights to serve its 9-to-5 clients. 

To keep a work-life balance for the team, the salon has updated its hours of operation which are Monday: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. MW Salon is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
