Stefano’s Trattoria

Stefano’s Trattoria in Winter Springs is well-known in the community for its authentic homestyle Italian comfort food. But, there are two lesser-known things owner Alejandro Martínez wants you to remember about his restaurant: whether you dine in or pick up your order at Stefano’s, you will always be treated like family, and the food is always consistently delicious.

“We have the best consistency in town, and that’s important,” says Alejandro. “People respect and appreciate that, and they know that at Stefano’s you can count on getting the same quality of your favorite dish every single time.”

Stefano’s has a loyal following of regulars that are more like family than customers. The restaurant has long been a homebase for celebrations, graduations, birthdays, parties, school fundraisers, and other special occasions. 

Not only is the food and patronage consistent, but so is the staff.

“Most of our staff have been with us from a range of six to 15 years,” explains Alejandro. “We have lunch together every day. It’s not about clocking in and clocking out. Everybody sits down and enjoys a meal together, and our chefs take turns preparing the dishes. We are truly like family here.” 

The low turnover and high employee satisfaction contributes to the restaurant’s welcoming and family-oriented atmosphere and service, and its reliably appetizing dishes.

Head chef and British immigrant Lewis English, who joined the team in 2010, is one of Alejandro’s closest friends. They share a passion for soccer and can often be found in the kitchen keeping a close eye on the latest matches. Recently, Lewis and Alejandro, along with Alejandro’s father and brother who also work at Stefano’s, checked off a major bucket item list – attending a Liverpool FC soccer match in England.

“It was a dream come true,” says Alejandro.
