The Law Office of Mary Beth Kelly

by Laura Breen Galante

With offices in Lake Mary, Mount Dora, and The Villages, The Law Office of Mary Beth Kelly treats you like family.

Estate planning attorney Mary Beth Kelly was raised with values that focus on the importance of family, and she incorporates a family-first approach into every aspect of her practice.

She offers legal assistance for wills, trusts, and estate planning; probate and trust administration; guardianship law; long-term care and Medicaid planning; and HIPAA authorizations.

Mary Beth and her husband Joe, a certified financial planner, have a beautiful blended family with four adult children and seven grandchildren ages three to nine. She and Joe spend their days caring for their clients, who trust them with important life decisions.

“We try to do what’s right, to help others,” says Mary Beth.

Serving as power of attorney for her mother (who is healthy, happy, and almost 91!), and having lost her father to to Alzheimer’s disease, Mary Beth draws from her own experiences to help  her clients.

Her compassion and empathy come straight from the heart. Estate planning and elder law is important to her because she’s lived it. Having personally dealt with caretaking and loss, Mary Beth understands that nearly every client who walks into her office is experiencing some sort of challenge or pain.

“You can’t practice this type of law unless you can feel what your clients are going through,” she explains.

She is an expert on kindly navigating the road ahead. Not only does Mary Beth care for her immediate family members, her compassion encompasses extended family, her two paralegals at the firm, and the community as a whole. Mary Beth has her mother, her three sisters and their families, plus Joe has his parents, and his brother and his family – all of whom make up a strong, loving, and supportive family unit.

“Our family is very important to us, including our children and grandchildren, and our extended family as well,” she says. “I love and am proud of all of them.”

You might find Mary Beth and Joe on the golf course at Timacuan, enjoying their limited free time with dear friends and supporting organizations such as Rotary International and the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

“Taking care of others is so important,”   she says.
