Park A Lot 247

by Susan Shalhoub

Let’s face it: Mud is icky.

Oozy, dirty, and especially problematic when you own an RV or boat, mud is one of the enemies of the RV and boating community.

But that problem is nowhere to be found at Orlando’s Park A Lot 247, a fully paved parking storage facility for RVs, boats, food trucks, and more. Customers are offered a variety of storage options to meet their needs: standard uncovered spots, premium uncovered spots, and premium covered and fully enclosed units.

The boating and RV community is a tight-knit one, and all appreciate the lack of mud at Park A Lot 247 – and not just because it’s hard to clean out of those little grooves in the wheel rims.

“Our lot is entirely paved,” says Alan Ashlock, who owns the business with his wife, Joy. “Other RV lots get so muddy you almost need a four-wheel drive, with boats and RVs being so low to the ground.”

What’s even better is that the Park A Lot 247 site was expanded by about 20 acres last year, offering its customers even more space to park in a safe, convenient facility. Additional expansion is planned this year, too.

Park A Lot 247’s security solution is a combination of constant video surveillance with 32 cameras, keyless customer access, and efficient security lighting with the whole lot lit up at night.

These three elements offer customers peace of mind that their high-dollar vehicle investments are secure. These security measures have also helped build Park A Lot 247’s reputation as a leader in RV, boat, and food truck parking facilities, says Alan.

“Those security measures are built in for all our clients who choose our parking facility,” says Alan. “We have individualized keypad coded entry to all automatic gate openers, and an additional eight-foot vinyl fence is part of the offerings with the standard pricing, as well.”

Premium customers have their vehicles protected by an eight-foot-tall concrete wall and can make use of the air compressors, ice machines, a dump station, restrooms, and – in select spots – 30 or        50-amp electrical service, says Alan.

When your home away from home is parked at the site, after all, these amenities are not only welcome but also needed.

Park A Lot 247, at 17504 Parkalot Lane in Orlando, is easily findable off Highway 50/Colonial Drive, just east of 419/Chuluota Road.

(If you see any mud, you’ve got the wrong place.)
