Vollrath Law

by  Georgia Rivas

Established more than 10 years ago by sisters and attorneys Stephanie and Sharon Vollrath, the Oviedo-based firm Vollrath Law has grown to include a handpicked team of three additional highly-skilled attorneys and support staff.

While Vollrath Law’s focus remains the same – helping Florida families manage estate planning, family law, probate, and real-estate transactions  – the firm has recently expanded its services to include collaborative law.

Collaborative law is an innovative approach to dispute resolution that allows divorcing couples to work together with trained professionals to address all aspects of their divorce, such as property division, child custody, and financial matters.

This approach is unlike litigation, where a judge decides the outcome. Instead, collaborative law promotes cooperation, fostering open dialogue and cooperative problem-solving.

“By practicing collaborative law, I have been able to help families navigate the difficult process of divorce, reducing additional trauma for children and minimizing both the financial and emotional strain on the entire family,” says Sharon. “It is actually a beautiful process to witness, with so many benefits to the people involved. Collaborative law is a fairly new trend, and I hope it continues to grow.”

Adds Stephanie, “We stand by you in the face of life’s biggest transitions. Our goal is to help protect your interests, achieve your goals, and thrive in the future.”

Vollrath Law has also reestablished its guardianship department, helping families make the best legal arrangement for an individual’s person, property, or both. In a guardianship, the court appoints someone to make decisions for and act on behalf of another person, known as a ward.

The team at Vollrath Law works hard to empower and educate families and individuals who may initially feel overwhelmed by the legal process and jargon. The firm’s stress-free approach focuses on creating a customized strategy to bring your matter to a successful resolution. From navigating paperwork to negotiations and mediation, Vollrath Law can help you move forward with confidence.
